Buel Ecker works in ink, watercolor, pencil, and collage. Abstract works, for which she is known best, are visual poems, prayers, and commentaries on being human. Botanical subjects and allegorical landscapes are an extension of her interest in horticulture, landscape design, and floral arranging.
Coming to art as an adult, Buel studied in New Jersey, New York, the UK, the Bahamas, China, and Costa Rica. Her art is held in private collections in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Canada, The Bahamas, and Scotland.
